Abstract :
Swami Vivekananda was a great thinker and reformer of India. Vivekananda pointed out that the defect of the present-day education is that it has no definite goal. He was against the contemporary educational system; it turned men into slaves. He emphasized that the aim of education should be man-making and character-building. His educational ideas have touched every aspect of Indian social life. Now-a-days, physical education has become a key issue of many social clubs and educational organizations.
