Phonon Anomalies In Hfn And Zrn
Dr. Poonam Mishra
Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, Government Kaktiya P. G. College Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh
Abstract :
The phonon dispersion curve are determined by model (BSM) for the crystals transition metal mono-nitrides (HfN and ZrN) and compared with the experimental phonons, which forms perhaps the best test for this purpose. The eight numbers of parameters of the model are determined by using the some set of input data. The results and degrees of agreement obtained in each case show clearly the superiority of the “charge-transfer mechanism” for representing the deformations of electron shells used in the BSM. The phonon dispersion curves and phonon density of states in HfN and ZrN have been measured in high-symmetry directions ?, S and ? by breathing shell model (BSM). Anomalies in the dispersion of the acoustic branches and optical branches have been detected which are well described by experimental results.

Abstract :
Voluntary Organization is not a new phenomenon in our country. In present context, a government commissioned study puts that for every 500 persons, there is one registered NGO. These NGOs have been focusing on social welfare in the context of women empowerment, human rights, and implementation of various central and state government development programmes. The NGOs can contribute handsomely towards social welfare through their intensive campaigns used to avail services to needy people, people’s mobilization programmes and effective networks. The present study aimed to understand the impact made by NGOs and bring out various methods used in improving social welfare and significant impact made on promotion of awareness about various government schemes. The primary survey was conducted in slums of Delhi. This study used “Mixed Method” approach in which concurrent design with multilevel sampling design was used. The sampling units were purposively selected utilizing the convenience and quota sampling schemes. Total of 300 slum dwellers in 10 slums vis-à-vis GRCs (or NGOs) were selected conveniently. In QUANT phase schedules were administered to slum dwellers while in QUAL phase in depth interviews and group discussion were conducted with GRCs. Findings showed that 68% were aware about presence of NGOs in their areas. Only 16.31% slum dwellers of those who needed policies/supports were reaping benefits of government policies enrolled through NGOs. Only 9.35% were taking credit from NGOs. Discussion with the GRCs revealed that errant and low Supply of Funds was the major reason for inefficiency and irregularity in the working of NGOs.

Abstract :
The processing of soybean for producing milk, soy-paneer (tofu) and other products was studied. The practical on processing of soybean was done at the processing unit M/s B K Soya Products Sangrur, Punjab. Large quantity of whey is produced during preparation of soy-paneer and it goes waste. The properties of whey were evaluated for its utilization for whey-based beverage. Titrable acidity, protein and total reducing sugar were observed to be 0.192, 0.3 and 0.4 % respectively. pH of the freshly prepared soybean whey was observed to be 5.11. Average specific gravity and viscosity were observed to be 1.01 and 20.5 cP. Colour of the whey was yellowish red. The L*, a* and b* values of the whey were in the range of 32.02 - 40.35, 3.03 - 4.56 and 19.58 - 22.27 respectively. The turbidity of why was 82.37 Nephelometric Turbidity Units. Ready to serve beverage was prepared by adding sugar, synthetic colour and flavour, eight combinations were tried. The sensory quality of beverage was carried out on 9 point Hedonic scale. The panelists tasted the samples and gave the scores. The combination with 443.75g whey, 112.5g sugar and 443.75g water was observed to be the best.

Samom Jayananda Singh* Pallab Dutta**
*NERIST, Department of ECE, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh-791109, India
**Tezpur University, Department of ECE, Tezpur, Assam, India
Abstract :
In this paper we used ?-µ fading channel as a fading model and maximal ratio combiner (MRC) which is one of the diversity combining technique considered at the receiver. Closed-form expressions for the capacity of maximal-ratio combining (MRC) diversity systems over ?-µ fading channel are obtained and analyzed for an arbitrary number of input branches. Channel capacity for adaptive transmission techniques: Constant power with optimum rate adaptation (ORA), Channel inversion with fixed rate (CIFR) and Truncated channel inversion with fixed rate (TIFR) are derived. The effect of diversity order and fading parameters on the channel capacity with different adaptive transmission schemes has been studied.
