Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) is a method first introduced by Dr. Rey in 1978 and later refined by Dr. Martinez and Dr. Navarrete until 1994. It involves placing a diaper-clad Newborn in direct skin-to-skin contact, positioned upright and prone on the mother’s chest.
